Nudge

Nudge was created in response to a common gap in education: students are often expected to enter the workforce with strong soft skills, yet the process of learning them can feel abstract, passive, and disconnected from real-world preparation. While technical knowledge is often prioritised, the confidence and interpersonal skills needed for professional environments are harder to teach in ways that feel engaging and meaningful.

The project explored how gamification could make that experience more motivating and accessible. Rather than treating soft skill development as something separate from the student journey, Nudge reframed it as an interactive experience that encouraged participation, progress, and self-improvement. The goal was to make workforce preparation feel less intimidating and more approachable.

By combining learning with game-like mechanics, Nudge created a more engaging way for students to build confidence and develop the skills needed for life beyond study. The result was a concept that used design to bridge the gap between education and workforce readiness in a way that felt more human, motivating, and relevant.
