Nucanon
Nucanon is a storytelling and lore management platform for game developers, designed to help teams brainstorm ideas with AI, organise narrative assets, and build branching storylines in one connected workflow.

problem
Nucanon was built to help game developers manage the complexity of storytelling, lore, and branching narrative design, but the product needed a more refined and cohesive experience to fully support that vision. With AI-assisted ideation, asset libraries, and node-based story building all existing within the same platform, the challenge was making these systems feel intuitive, connected, and usable for creative workflows.
solution
I refined the UI, improved core workflows, and introduced new features to make the product more cohesive and easier to use. By strengthening the structure of the asset library, clarifying how story elements connected within the node-based workflow, and smoothing the path between brainstorming and narrative development, the experience became better suited to the way game developers build and manage story-rich worlds.
Nucanon was created to support one of the most complex parts of game development: managing story. For teams building rich worlds, narrative ideas rarely live in one place. Characters, locations, dialogue, music, lore, and branching plotlines often become scattered across documents, tools, and fragmented workflows. The challenge was not just organising creative information, but creating a system that could help game developers shape, connect, and evolve their stories more effectively.

My role focused on refining the UI, workflows, and feature set to make that vision more usable and cohesive. The challenge was not just presenting powerful tools, but shaping them into an experience that felt intuitive enough for creative work. With multiple systems working together, from asset libraries to branching storyline logic, the interface needed to reduce friction, clarify relationships, and help users move more naturally between ideation, organisation, and narrative construction.
The result was a more polished and cohesive product experience that better supported the way game developers build story-rich worlds. By refining the interface, evolving workflows, and expanding features, the product became clearer, more intuitive, and better equipped to support narrative creation from early brainstorming through to structured story development.
