problem
As products grow, interfaces often become inconsistent, fragmented, and harder to maintain. Without a shared system, teams spend more time recreating patterns, making subjective design decisions, and fixing visual mismatches.
solution
ESPER was created to establish a unified design language across the product. By defining reusable components, clear foundations, and scalable patterns, it helps teams design and build with more consistency, speed, and confidence.
I wanted a design system I could rely on the way real product teams do—something opinionated, clean, and flexible enough to use across multiple side projects without reinventing UI decisions every time. ESPER became my “default starting point”: a set of building blocks I can drop into any concept and immediately focus on solving the actual problem.

The challenge was to build something that could support both speed and quality. I needed a design system that could bring consistency across projects, reduce repetitive decisions, and make prototyping more efficient, while also being flexible enough to support modern AI workflows. Most importantly, it had to work for the way I design: independently, quickly, and with a strong connection between visual design and implementation.
The result was a system that made my process faster, more consistent, and better suited to experimentation. Instead of rebuilding UI foundations for every new idea, ESPER gave me a repeatable framework I could rely on. It became both a design tool and a creative accelerator, helping me prototype more efficiently while laying stronger groundwork for AI-supported workflows.
